Hörmann Garage Doors: Full Style & Model Guide

This Hörmann garage doors guide covers the one brand we actually install — we don't carry a lineup of competing manufacturers to choose between. Hörmann is a family-owned German manufacturer that's been engineering doors since 1935, and that single-brand focus is a deliberate choice, not a limitation on selection.

Why we only install Hörmann

Carrying one manufacturer means our installers are deeply familiar with every model we sell, our pricing engine can quote exact — not estimated — prices, and warranty and parts support stays consistent across every installation. Hörmann's nearly 90 years of engineering history and reputation for precision manufacturing is what makes that single-brand bet a good one.

Our two construction tiers

  • Pro Tech 2500 — non-insulated, single-layer steel construction, the more budget-friendly option for detached garages and storage-only spaces
  • Therma Tech 3400 — insulated, foam-core sandwich construction with steel on both interior and exterior faces, for better temperature control, noise reduction, and dent resistance

Our three style families

  • Traditional — steel raised-panel design, our most popular and entry-level style, suited to most home types
  • Carriage-style — decorative strap hinges and plank-style panel detailing that mimics old swing-out carriage doors, best for craftsman, farmhouse, and traditional-facade homes
  • Modern/Contemporary — flat or minimally recessed panels, clean horizontal lines, often paired with dark colors and simple window layouts, best for contemporary architecture

How pricing works across styles and tiers

Traditional-style pricing runs roughly $1,450–$2,000 installed for a single non-insulated door, $1,750–$2,200 for a single insulated door, and higher for double doors. Carriage-style and Modern doors cost more due to the added detailing or glazing — the exact price for your size and style shows in the wizard rather than a general estimate.

Safety note: Old-door haul-away is a separate add-on ($95 single, $135 double), and openers (Chamberlain and LiftMaster models) are priced separately as well — both shown clearly during configuration, not bundled invisibly into the door price.

Our wizard walks through every Hörmann style and tier for your exact door size and gives you a precise installed price in about two minutes, with a free on-site inspection to confirm before anything is scheduled.
